Summer is over, the weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be excited for Autumn, as it is arguably one of the best times to visit London!
Exploring the city is more bearable as you don’t have to constantly try to escape the heat, and visiting the parks of London can still be enjoyable with the warm and fiery photogenic colours of the leaves falling from the trees.
Autumn also means Halloween, and there are certainly a variety of spooky things to do here in London! We have handpicked just a few of these for you to plan during your stay in Paddington.
1. The London Dungeons.
Open all year round, the London Dungeon is a tourist attraction located along London’s South Bank. It uses a mixture of live actors, special effects and rides and offers an immersive journey experience recreating some of the darkest times from the cities’ history. With tickets from £24.00 per adult, the London Dungeons will definitely get you in the mood for Halloween!
2. London Ghost Bus Tours
The UK’s only horror theatre experience on wheels – the Ghost Bus Tour will take you all over London, pointing out the haunted history of London’s most famous and best loved tourist attractions including: The Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London!
3. Museums at Night
Between the 31st October and 2nd November 2019, museums and galleries across London will be opening their doors to the public for an after-dark experience. This popular festival will be back offering a range of different events. You won’t want to miss out on this!
4. Covent Garden’s Giant Pumpkin Display
A perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit is to visit Covent Garden’s giant pumpkin display. This year, the ultimate spooky selfie-spot is inspired by Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage and it is surrounded by autumnal foliage with a selection of smaller pumpkins. Make sure you visit this display in time, as it will only be up until the 3rd November!
